AWS IPv6 Allocation to VPC and Subnets
Service Overview
Service Details
This service involves enabling IPv6 support within your AWS environment by allocating an Amazon-provided /56 IPv6 CIDR block to your VPC and assigning /64 IPv6 CIDR blocks to individual subnets. The configuration ensures seamless dual-stack operation (IPv4 + IPv6) or IPv6-only architecture based on your requirements. The service also includes validating routing, updating route tables, modifying security groups and NACLs for IPv6, and ensuring compatibility for instances, load balancers, and other AWS resources. This helps future-proof your network, improves scalability, and removes IPv4 exhaustion limitations.
